The vineyard is situated on moderate slopes of a high plateau just below the peaks of the Pálava Hills. The location is characteristic of south-facing slopes, along with a higher altitude. The soil is fatter here and does not retain heat. It consists of modal pararendzina – soil formed by lime carbonate rock weathering. This soil is poorer in nutrients and has a high content of active lime. Wines from this track cannot be mistaken; they are markedly mineral and structured.
